A short list of games to play day one? Boy, that soulnds like a launch day issue that every console has experienced. Good ting I can't play more than 10 games at a single time, or I might be upset...

Cracks me up seeing how the bots still want to see Sony fail. We might want to wait and see but I suspect that all will be fine in the end, much like the PS3.
That's how it works these days. It's as though these reviewers are the kids that write the "FIRST" post in a comment section just to have the first comment. They get there first with a subpar review and sit back and receive the web hits. It's not about competent reviews, it's about who can get there first. In the end, regardless of what console you want, be your own reviewer.
@decrypt:
PC games do not take a back seat to console games for the same reasons you state. They do so because the PC community does not hold the same market share that the consoles do. When you have millions more people buying console games than PC, then you have developers put their resources into the console version first then the PC last. If the PC community would grow to the same size as the console community, then you would see it the other way around. This was the ca...
No they don't lie. In fact, the numbers tell us just exactly what the devs have going for them. When you have a great platform to start with you can achive much more than if you have a subpar platform to start with that is incapable of 1080p at 60fps.
Been waiting on my copy for the release of the PS4. I'm sure that is not uncommon.
And yet they have issues with hacking and slashing fruit and all other copious forms of violence in Fruit Ninja.... What a double standard!
On a serious note:
It's a strange world we live in where nudity is seen to be worse than blood and gore.
Do you believe in Sasquatch? How about the buggy man? Santa? Easter Bunny? Sorry bud, but the proof will be in the eating of the pudding. Once the system is proofed out then I might buy but after last gen and the crap that MS pulled with their red ring of death, it is a wonder that anybody is preordering the Xbone.
I didn't preorder the Xbox because I was there for release of the 360 and after 5 deaths.... I figured it best to let everybody else test the new system before I plunk down my cash. People learned from their lessons last gen.
When you run an entire generation as Microsoft did last time with excuse after excuse for the red ring of death, you can only imagine why people are hesitant to preorder their latest hardware, especially when it cost more than the hardware most typically found to be reliable.
They have made it easy though to buy Xbox exclusive games.... Just own a PC and a PS3 and you have the beswt of both worlds. No need for an Xbox One.
To be honest, if I were to name the movies that gave me chills, the list would be far shorter than the one I can make for the games that made me jump. Game scares always make me jump and this list is an excellent list of great scary moments.
Last gen that was the entire mantra behind the Xbox 360. Dig at the PS folks and now the shoe is on the other foot. It's good to see Sony play the same game MS did all last gen.
Cheaper, better and reliable... Yup, agreed.
Megan who? Isn't she the dumb chick that couldn't keep her mouth shut and ruined her chances to star in the last installment of Transformers?
It's a shame to think that the Xbox team has been resting on their laurels like this. It all feels like the last launch in reverse. I wonder if MS will be able to pull themselves up from this much like Sony did the last gen.
This will be the first gen that I have chosen to go with only one console. I am glad that I have chosen the PS4. With the bad taste left in my mouth with the Xbox360 and the many failures that were virtually never addressed, the Xbox1 was the clear choice for what console to leave on the store shelves. This is only the icing ont he cake.
The 360 has a BD player in it now? Since when?
Beggars would ride.
So at the moment, Xbox Live and the PSN are identical in that they both give you free games, they offer seemless online play, and they both come at a reasonable cost. Why would either one of them have to step it up? How about we focus on the games we play online instead of the medium in which we play those games?
